We cover police stations in London and the home counties. Our specialist police station representatives are highly experienced and include eleven duty solicitors, several of whom have 30 years experience. We are lucky to have a varied group of representatives who are regularly at police stations with continued exposure to complex cases. They have regular training from leading solicitors from within the profession to keep their skills up to date and sharp to protect our clients' rights and further their defences.
Public Funding - Criminal Defence Service
At the Police Station
Attendance by a solicitor is free of charge to you, funded by the Legal Services Commission under the Criminal Defence Scheme. Some of our clients however choose to pay for this service when they wish a particular individual attend or wish to have an enhanced level of service.
At the Magistrates and Crown Courts
Lawrence & Co has in house barristers and solictors who attend London Courts daily. They have built up an enviable reputation. The inhouse team is made up of practicing barristers and solictor advocates:
- Legal representation at Magistrates Courts, Crown Courts and on Appeals
- We hold a Very High Costs Contract with the Legal Services Commission to deal with serious crime & fraud cases.
- Private representation, where legal aid is not available
- We have a designated team of Youth Court workers for under 18s in the criminal system
- We have an expert team working on extradition cases
- We are Crown Court Advocates
- We cover court-martial cases
- We have a Prison Law team
